A Not So Rainy Day

It was another busy day here. After breakfast we went on a walk to the elementary school playground--the same playground my mom played on as a kid. The bark dust is my favorite feature of the playgrounds we visit at home in Oregon. Here there isn't any bark dust--just lots of dirt--which I've found to be just as fun.
Then this afternoon, another walk with Grandma to the fish plant was filled with great fun as you'll see below....
I was a bit distracted by the eagle flying above when this picture was taken.

Soooo excited to play on the fork lift at the fish plant!

Vroom Vroom...

Watch Out!

No, seriously....FIRE IT UP!

Holy smokes, get a load of this tire!

Cruisin' the dock...

Got a ride home on a friends bike!

Fun Under the Alaska Sun

Finally! A semi-sunny day! More berry picking was on the agenda this afternoon. A trip to the beach on a quest for strawberries led to an evening picnic and fire with friends.
Mmmmm....wild strawberries...

Fisher is a big fan of the strawberries. He plopped himself down in the middle of the patch and was pretty good at finding and picking his own berries.

Our friend Hunter.

Fisher felt that Hunter didn't have enough sand in his hair so he thought he'd help him out by dumping another handful on his head.

Sandy baby feet...

Off again....

Alaska!

Mom and I have been visiting family in Alaska for the past few weeks. While flying on an airplane isn't the greatest thing I've ever experienced, spending time in Alaska has been pretty cool. The first few days of our trip were spent in Anchorage where we visiting my Great-Aunt Joan and Great-Uncle Stan as well as my Great-Grandma Moni (a.k.a G-G-Mo).

Save me!!

Here are a few pictures from the first week here in Yakutat. It's been raining non-stop so, we've been out braving the elements and doing lots of fun things like...

Picking boo-boos (Salmon berries)...

Picking more boo-boos...

Eating boo-boos...

Mmm.....eating more boo-boos...

Playing in mud-puddles....

Having to be stripped down on the porch because I bathed myself in a big, deep mud puddle...

Looking cute in my boots...

There will be more pictures posted soon!

Camping Adventure

Camping is my new favorite part of life. You're outside all the time, you can get completely filthy and that's OK, you get to play in a tent AND (everyone already knows this one, but) all food tastes better when you're camping.

We camped at Lake Billychinook this past weekend with Uncle Ryan and Auntie Diana. Since Mom & Dad drove Grandma & Grandpa's camper van over and my car seat doesn't fit in there, I got to ride over with my Aunt and Uncle. They are so much more fun to ride with than Mom & Dad. I had a blast! I tried my best to keep my fellow road-warriors entertained with interesting banter (or "sporadic outbursts of Touretts" as Uncle Ryan calls it) and they kept the raisins and Cheerios flowing--we were a good team.

The drive over was a great start to the trip but then Dad put up the tent and HELLO!!! COOLEST THING EVER!! I ran around in that thing forever--LOVED IT. Mom and Dad call it my new babysitter.

I learned a lot of new words on this trip. I can pretty much repeat anything you say so, you better watch your tongue around me. In the past few days I've become pretty comfortable with saying 'Bar-B-Que', 'Peak-A-Boo' and any other three syllable words that sound like those. I can kinda get 'Auntie' and 'Uncle' out but, it's still a work in progress. I've thrown 'Boat' and 'Bird' out from time to time as well as a handful of others. You never know when I'll bust out a new word--if I like the way it sounds, I might just repeat it.

Here are a few photos of our camping trip.

Peak-A-Boo.

Crazy Face.

Can you believe the life jacket they put on me. So embarrassing.

Me & My #1 Dad.

I was so tired at this point and completely deflated due to the hideous life jacket I was forced to wear while on the boat. Here I am sitting like a wet noodle on Mom's lap, while she methodically deposits Cheerios into my mouth to keep me happy.

That's right. I'm driving the boat.

Watch out for logs!

Dad caught a fish that had a live crawdad in its mouth---COOL.

Getting my sea legs...or lake legs in this case.

Uncle Ryan's Redneck Fish Finder.

My 'Steve Irwin the Crocodile Hunter' Outfit.

Analyzing High Desert Dirt.

Hey Grandpa! Mom let me drive the van. Don't worry, we didn't hit anything too big.

Honk Honk.

OK, so, here are a few pictures taken this afternoon at the beach. I've figured out that if I scream enough, Mom and Dad will take me outside. I really turned up the heat on a tantrum today and voila!--next thing I know, we're at the beach! Cha-ching!

Can you dig it?

Rain or Shine

Play, play, play...that's all we do around here. Rain or shine. Yesterday was the Oregon Coast Aquarium in the rain, today we were soaking up the sun at the beach.

Sup, yo.

This shot is for uncle Ryan--that's a HUGE SNAKE behind me.

A meeting of the Fishes.

High Five.

Big fish, whatever. Check out this light!

Oh my gosh...another light?!?

Blowing off some steam.

While Dad may look like he isn't enjoying my throwing sand on his lap, it really was HILARIOUS.

Crazy Kiddo.

Army Crawl.

A MOMster is chasing me!!!

Dopey.

Aaaaachoooooooo!
